And you say you have no quirks. Wink The question is standard, though in your case not so simple. Put U.K. or click Other and mention your Chinese heritage. Whatever.

It's how you would answer the question. Some people identify more with where they're born, others with where they grew up or presently have citizenship.

Britain wouldn't include Northern Ireland, so United Kingdom seemed like the most inclusive term, with Ireland itself of course as a seperate poll option.

Quebec is a province in Canada but if one is a Quebecois seperatist and doesn't want to admit that they are both Quebecois and Canadian, then go ahead and click Other and state your position.

Same goes for the Tasmanians in Australia, the Scots who want out of the U.K., etcetera.

This thread has had more VIEWS and more posters voting on the poll.

I simply addressed the concerns of the psoters who didn't think the other poll was inclusive enough, had no option for Scots unless they click England, seperated Quebec from Canada, lacked some other options.

BTW, there are PLENTY of 'where are you from?' threads on Dave's, so yours is far from original. Delete both and start a new one with inclusive poll options, or bump up previous attempts at a 'where are you from?' poll.

Or just let the posters vote as they see fit.

I know of at least a half dozen South African teachers personally, but have any on Dave's come from there? I can't think of any at the moment.
