So I worked in Korea for 2 years, am in Japan now, and will probably be coming back to Korea soon. I was told that my diploma either must be a) apostillized in the US, or b) certified by EPIK in person in Korea. Also, my CRC (background check) can a) be apostillized in Korea or b) notarized by the US embassy in Korea ONLY.
I offered to go to both the US and Korean embassies here for notarizations on both documents, but they are telling me this is no good.
So, do I have to send this to the states and have family take care of the notarization and apostillizing or can I go to the embassies in Japan?
I know the apostilization process, but it seems like I shouldnt have to make a trip to the US or Korea to do this. I had my former CRC notarized at the US embassy in Seoul previously. Why would it be different in Japan? And why wouldnt EPIK accept a notarized diploma from the Korean embassy?
I am trying to get this done ASAP, so quick replies are welcome!
Thanks
