I want to import a $900 video camera from Japan. I WILL take it with me when I leave, so I think there should be no duty to pay. How do I go about this with customs? |

You are a foreigner and it is your personal possession and will be removed when you leave so there is nothing to declare (you are not importing it for a Korean or for resale).
It is no different than traveling with any other camera or laptop, etc.

But if I receive it by mail, customs will ask for a fee upon delivery. How do I "get out of it" when they come knocking? Just tell them I am a foreigner and that I am taking it away? Thanks |
