I was wondering about people that teach Business English. Did you have to get a certificate? Is that useful? Do you find a lot of job opportunities with that? I'm interested in getting it, but I'm not sure if its worth it nor where to begin. Thanks! |

I did teach business English but I also have an MBA so the language wasn't new to me. The methodology use to teach is similar to what you learn in any good TESOL/TEFL or CELTA.
You have 3 options if you are serious about it AND that you have no teaching cert.
1) TESOL with an added business module (short and sweet) or
2) post grad certificate (longer)
3) diploma in business (longest).
As a side benefit, if you do 2 or 3 is that you can capitalize on it (+ your experience here) as a corporate trainer when you return back home. |
