Just like the title suggests:
Extending my contract with SMOE... Need to get my E2 extended for another year... Just wondering how long it takes immigration to process this?
(Becomming a bit of a headache for a lot of people... SMOE was WAAY late with contracts... Need to get everything done before I leave on the 16th of August for my home leave... Worried that SMOE will drag their feet on getting stamped contracts out, plus letters of sponsorship, both of which are needed for immigration...) |

As soon as you have the paper work from the school, it is done on the spot at immigration.
You can reserve an appointment here: http://www.hikorea.go.kr/pt/ResvMain_en.pt?locale=en
You have to register. If you make an appointment, you can be in and out in 10-15 minutes.
Remember to get a re-entry stamp of you plan on leaving the country. It's easier to get it all done at once. |

Thanks much... Been hearing wild tales of it taking anywhere from one or two days to one or two weeks!...
And +1 about the multi-entry thing... Got mine after the fact last time and it was a hassle (nothing says fun like a trip to immi... lol) |
