Preferably available on wedisk (with Korean subs).

I want the best of the best. You know, like people say 24 and Prison Break were good in the US. I'd just search on Naver but I want a Westerner's opinion on what's good in Japan. Or from a Japanese person...

are you male or female?

i like: waterboys, waterboys 2, orange days, hana yori dango (there was a korean version of this too).

also see: http://jdorama.com/topdramas.htm (you can read the descriptions and choose based on whether you like drama, comedy, boys in swimsuits, boys that are firefighters, schoolgirls, etc.)

here is something that might be of interest: http://fansub.d-addicts.com/D-Addicts:Completed_JDramas

My personal favorite Japanese dramas are:

Kekkon Dekinai Otoko (Man who can't marry - a Korean remake is actually airing now, but I don't think it's as good)
Proposal Daisakusen (Proposal Grand Scheme)

Both and funny and romantic at the same time. I'd say the former is a bit funnier while the latter is a bit more serious.

I don't know about the availability of subs though.
