|
Has anyone ever faxed Korea from Canada?
I actually asked this question before but the directions that were given to me didn't work.
Do you just put 82 in front of the number? Is it the same as calling Korea from Canada?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Some more general info regarding phoning and faxing to Korea:
Unless things have changed recently I believe you also have to drop the '0' from city codes when making international calls to Korea, so '02' for Seoul becomes 011-82-2-XXX-XXXX. This applies to phone calls, faxes, pagers, and cell phones (e.g. if you want to call somebody who is using 011 cellular service it would be 011-82-11-XXX-XXXX).
Some city codes have changed in the past few years (e.g. Inchon went from 031 to 032) so make sure you have an up to date source for the number. |

Here's a tip:
Use those cheap long distance card (Cici etc) you can get in convenience stores when you send the fax and you'll save a wack of money. |

This is correct. Don't dial the '0'. |

Great idea, wish I had remembered that. In Canada you can pick up an Onse Telecom prepaid card and it's a fantastic deal (We shopped around and Onse came out on top). When using it you don't have to dial the country code but you do have to use the '0' in the city code. |
