Well... currently flat hunting and all the nicest places seem to be non-furnished, which typically is great, but since I'm only planning on 6 months in Korea its a little useless to me too because its a little silly to splash out on furniture only to leave after 6 months...
Anyone know of any furniture / appliance rental places or good hunting grounds for used furniture etc besides the forum on here?

You could check out http://www.t-recycle.co.kr/, the website for used furniture (you can check out their locations as well), but I find the prices are not all that cheap. You can often buy new & nice furniture on Gmarket(.co.kr) for just a little bit more.
If you're only gonna be here for a short time, why not do the minimalist thing? The first year I lived here I had just a Korean style mattress (yo) on the floor to sleep on, a tv and a desk. You really don't need that much.
I would still like to recommend Dave's Buy/Sell/Trade Forum, some of the cheapest used furniture can be found in there, just check it regularly, there's always some sale. |
