Hey guys,
Can any of you recommend a good bank? By that, whats important to me is internet capabilities! As in transfering money from my home a/c to korean a/c and vica versa!
Thanks |

| there are many great ones but id just go for KB bank. They seem to always have an English speaker and exchange money as well as wire stuff. Probably not the best in Korea but good for foreigners like us. |

KEB will give you a check card that works overseas, and does web banking.

i guess i'll post this question here...i i want to set up remittance from my k-bank (nonghyup) to my us bank (capital one), what info do i need to give them? is my bank acct and routing number enough?
also i was checking out the "transfer" option at an ATM machine, HSBC the same here as in the states? i heard that citibank is technically a different bank. |

I have had an account with woori, KB, and shinhan. Woori and KB were generally ok, no complaints. Shinhan is a little more foreigner-restrictive and has a few more hoops you have to jump through, so I wouldn't recommend them.
The bank that is praised the most on these boards is definitely KEB, though I don't have any firsthand experience with them. |
