Korean Ginseng is sold all over the world, however any flora can be considered a problem. I would just put it in a bag inside your luggage and don't declare it. If they ask what it is say the truth; it's food. I don't think you'll have any problems.
You could always buy a ton off the street (it's cheap) and mail half and take half with you, so if you get caught out the other one may get through. Don't buy it from a shop, buy it from a street ajumma it will be ten times cheaper at least! |

Where can you find ajummas selling fresh ginseng roots? I have only seen them in the shops.
And problem is....my parents wants a lot of it. If I send it surface mail, won't they hold it at customs? If I carry it on with me, I might get caught with it.....
Is there a special permit I can get?? |
