Though this post is somewhat directed to mithridates, anyone can respond.

I don't know much about Korean pop music. I'm currently attending Level 3 at Sogang, and at this term's graduation ceremony I have the opportunity to either (1) accompany on the piano a couple of Level 3 girls singing a Korean pop song, or (2) sing one myself.

I'm looking for song recommendations for either scenario. I'd prefer songs that aren't that difficult to sing, and with a limited range. (Especially for me -- I can't sing tenor.) Not too fast would be good as well -- maybe ballads?

I've only found one song for each scenario.
(1) 백지영 - 사랑안해 (Baek Ji Young - I Won't Love)
(2) 김현철 - I'm Crying (from the movie 시월애. Even though he sings in English, there is a Korean version also on the OST, sung by 지영선; I would sing the Korean lyrics).
I'm not sure about "I Won't Love," because the vocal range may be too much for girls with untrained voices. And I'm not sure about "I'm Crying" because it's too slow.

If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate hearing them. Thanks in advance.

You just earned a gazillion WAP. Congratulations.

In fact, you did so well that I think there should be a category named in honor of your achievement.

Yeah they changed the lyrics to 누나 누나. Don't know who sings it though.

This may not fit what you are looking for..but it is a song Koreans surely love..

People are more Beautiful than flowers (사람이 꽃보다 아름다워)
Ahn Chi Won(안치원)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y15_Ofo8PEw

When I go out with my fellow office workers, they love it. This song works for me as his voice in this song is pretty easy to match (He sings it with a rock voice, similar to Bon Jovi)

Again..maybe it isn't exactly what you are looking for..but for future reference you cannot go wrong with this song.

If you are interested in this song..PM me, and I can email you the original mp3 and a word doc of the lyrics spaced out how they should be sung...

This song seems pretty easy to sing,
And he says sarang 80% of the time.

FT Island's "I hope"

HAHA..I've never seen a Korean man that looked more like a woman before until this video. A low cut shirt and a pastel scarf around the neck? Wow..hell I might even hit on that if I had enough booze....

Yeah, I found out it's by Hyun Young and it really is amazing.

Whoever has the royalty rights to that song must be creaming the cash.
