Hi all,

Anyone here in Damyang? The only thing I know about Damyang is that it has a Bamboo Park. I'm hoping someone can share their current or past experience in Damyang.

1. Appx how many foreigners are there in Damyang?
2. How long does it take from Damyang to Gwangju by bus?
3. Is there a direct bus from Damyang to Jeonju, if so how long? Or do I have to go via Gwangju or another nearby city?

I taught there on weekends in the 90s. Never saw another foreigner who lived there. But that was a long time ago. I drove or took a taxi from Kwangju. I'm sure there is a bus. Driving took maybe 20 mins. Back then it was named Tamyang.
It's really the sticks there. I had a student who had a country motel there. Haven't been back, but I really enjoyed relaxing drives in the area.
