I happen to live near the park in Yeouido, which is near the National Assembly, which is where they have some kind of political rally with a giant stage, rambling drivelous speeches, and protest songs to wake me up every weekend morning.
Every single time, there's this one fight song they sing. I've heard it so many times but I have no clue what it's called, what the lyrics are, or what it's about (i'm guessing it has something to do with labor because it's kinda communist-sounding). Either you've heard it a million times too and know what I'm talking about, or you don't.
So... WHAT IS THAT SONG?? And why do they sing it at EVERY SINGLE political protest/rally/impromptu hootenanny EVER?? (and no, it's not the national anthem)
Wait, I finally found it!
It's in this video:

Skip to 3:22 to hear the song, and enjoy the awesome ajumma dance too!
Anyone know what this song is called? I'm dying to know what the lyrics are and what they mean, because this song has woken me up almost every single Saturday and Sunday morning for the past year of my life!
edit: I'm trying to figure out the lyrics, all I can get is the last line: "앞서서 나가니 산자여 따르라!"
P.S. +1,000 WAP if you're a waygookin and you know the words to this song. |
