Which Kahn is it? I mean which dong (suburb) is it in?
There are about 5 Khan schools in Changwon.
I've lived in Changwon for almost 8 years now so I can probably give you some inside info on the school if I know which dong it's in. |

I've never been to Changwon myself but I've heard it's one of the nicest small cities to live in. From what I've heard a lot of Changwon is fairly new, and it's a relatively clean and open by Korean standards. I understand that there are lots of parks, nice avenues and bike paths.
Also Changwon is relatively close to Busan, so when you want to get to a bigger city for a bit of international flavour it's only a short trip away.
Here's the Changwon Facebook group.

I was in Changwon for a few weeks a few years ago and though I can't give you much information you probably don't already have, my impression was of a very neat city with lots of parks. I liked it.
I did see some paragliders flying above the hills one day, if that means anything to you. Also, the two islands south of there are quite nice. Jinhae is one?
The foreign community seemed pretty close and I met good people there.
I would go back there for the the right school. |

Quite right, that's the town. I had a friend working there and confused the two. There are two islands though, connected by bridges, one being Namhae and the other being?
Anyway, drove around both and enjoyed beautiful views and nice beaches. This was the off-season. Some teachers we met said they did some climbing in the area. A couple of Buddhist temples....Here is a site for Namhae.

Was just about to PM you, too.
I don't want to put all the info up on here for public display. That can get you in trouble in Korea, even if it is true.
Email me at [email protected] and I'll send you the info. |
