Does anyone here use a CapitalOne credit card in Korea?
Can you attest to its quality?
Any better options? |

I have a Capital One Mastercard, and have used it here for a couple years now. No problems. However, I went through a fraud complaint last year, when someone in Italy somehow got my number and used my card a couple times. But no problems since then (besides the interest rate..) The one thing is that you do have to have a Canadian (or US) address on file. They don't send statements overseas, and there is not yet an "online only" option (like AMEX). I just get my statements sent to a friend's place. |

Capital One is the only credit card that I use abroad, since they're the only one that won't charge me a international transaction fee. I've never had any problems with it, except for getting a charge declined when I was in Hong Kong. Just make sure you call them to inform them that you will be traveling or living in another country or else they will deny the charges. Note, email is not good enough.

You do have to have a US or Canadian address on file, but they do have paperless statements, at least in the US. I have my parents address on file, but I get paperless statements in the email. |
