I once went to a demonstration class at a public middle school. The whole lesson was ripped from Boggles ESL World. Laughing

It's the school's problem for not providing untrained "teachers" with any curriculum whatsoever in middle schools.

Damned straight.

Korean not being able to use foresight syndrome.

How many schools, especially krapwans would save a ton of stress, not to mention money in the long term just by sending newbie E2 on a week's training in classroom management and lesson planning?

It's all just too absurd to think about

www.handoutsonline.com is very useful, but there is a small yearly fee for total access.

www.wearebusybeavers.com is a site developed by a Canadian teacher in Korea, and it has some great Korean-oriented EFL materials for young learners - also for a price.

www.manythings.org and www.englishpage.com are great free sites.

Some neat English-Korean quizzes here:

Our Newsletter is out

Lots new, you'll like the doodle videos and Teacher Tools. Always free, always new. None of this ad filled, pay me something to educate stuff.

I'd love if more teachers contributed their ideas to Teaching Recipes It's a win / win situation for everyone and a way to help new teachers.

Cheers, hope you had a great Chuseok,

DD
