|
|
I was at the Casino the other day and was taking a close look at my chips. They don't seem very fancy.
What's to stop someone from taking a chip to China and getting copies made?
I didn't see any holograms on the chips. Nothing showed up under the black light scanner (a dealer was scanning the Korean checks, and a few chips were nearby). They just look like plain chips with a logo on it. |

cant this be said about a lot of casinos?
I havent personally seen any under blacklight, but a lot of places dont have holograms or anything fancy.
plus, even if you could verify under blacklight, what kind of dealer checks them under the light when you ask for change for a couple blacks? |

not too sure about korea, but in vegas, the chips have a tiny computer chip inside so the casino can identify real chips from fake ones. |

korean casino chips also have "chips" in them....that's a fact. A few years back, some boneheads made fake ones and got caught when they tried cashing them at the cage.
If it were that easy...thousands of people would have made some! |

How though? Every time I've cashed in chips, they've never put them on a "scanner" of any sort. |

Are the computer chips in all the chips? or just hte high denominations?
if its in just the high denominations, you could just bring a bunch of reds to a table.... play.... color up and leave |

You might as well rob a bank. I wouldn't want to slowly steal from a casino. |

RFID tags embedded in the chip
There is a small radio receiver that can count the different signals and identify the total value of the chips.
End of. |

No I think the word you were looking for is foolish.
If I am going to go to a Korean Prison it had be for a lot of money.
All players are rated in Korean casinos which means they know how much you buy in for and and how much you play. They know whether you win or lose and how much.
Combine RFID's, with Cameras and the technology is so good it appears to be non existent.
If you want to successfully rob from a casino start by watching Ocean's 11,12 and 13. Then realise that those methods won't work either.
P.S. Don't post it on the Internet until you've finished the job! |
