I will be arriving in Korea at the end of August for orientation. In the mean time, I essentially have all the visa paperwork ready to go. At this point, I am deciding between an E-2 or a F-4.
I plan to travel extensively in Asia as possible. I am definitely going to Thailand, Japan, China, and Cambodia.
Which visa would you suggest getting? I'm a little nervous about re-entry permits and such. I am hoping that there is less hassle with re-entry with a F-4, but I'm not sure. |

| Um, are you qualified to get an F-4? Do you know what an F-4 visa is? Look it up. |

If you're an American and this you get a new E-2 visa, then it should be a multiple entry visa, which would allow you to come and go as many times as you want within the period for which your visa is valid for. If you only get a single entry visa, then all you have to do is go down to the immigration office, which you have to do anyway to get your ARC, and apply for a multiple re-entry permit. Very easy to do. Not sure about the F-4 since I don't have one. But getting the multiple re-entry permit isn't much of a hassle if you have to go down to immigration anyways.
When are you planning on traveling so much? During or after your contract? If its after your contract, its all really moot, unless you plan on returning to the same job. |

F4 visa holders do not need multiple entry visas.
With other F series visa holders I don`t know |
