Anyone done this? I'd like to take 5/6 days and bicycle around Jeju, stopping at some good sites, like lava caves, tea farms, horse riding, etc.
Advice and experiences are welcome.

Yup, done it back in 2004, in 4 days.
Advice? Plan some easier days to soothe your sore butt at the beach. |

| I rode there in late May. I have been a racer and long distance cyclist for years. I loved the riding in Jeju. My experience was limited to the south east area of the island. I rode the costal road which often offered a dedicated lane. I also rode up Halla-san to the visitor center which might be a bit tough for some but as close to Euro riding as I've seen in Korea. The primary roads were good and the VERY small roads were also. It seamed the road that were sort of "middle" in size were being expanded, beat up, and offered no shoulder dispite high speed traffic. I wandered about one day on the smallest roads I could find and was happy as a clam all 4 hours of it. This time of year may suck with traffic. We will be going back in late September just to ride. |
