going to Busan for a few days soon. what are the rules for visiting japan? do i need a visa? is it easy to visit? if i need a visa where do i get one from? can i get one in busan? and does it take long?

yes, but it's so much more rewarding when someone else does it for you and hands you the answer on a platter.

Why the sarcasm? because travel in a foreign country requires you to work stuff out, to use that brain of yours. I take it you have been to university, yet you can't find something as simple as if you need a visa via google.

the boat is a nice way to head over to Fukuoka, but also take a look at flights from Gimhae airport. I scored a really cheap flight to Tokyo and back for $250 US for a long weekend of mayhem a few months ago.

i was in busan all this week - unfortunately (fortunately for you) i didn't see this post until now. getting the ferry out today, back monday - feel free to meet me off it.

and your wit is where exactly? i wouldn't be changing your name to oscar wilde anytime soon.
