Two or four syllable names will be tolerated, too! |

They will probably adore you...
I remember about 7 years ago - I was in Burger King (when it used to be on the corner across the street from the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon)
anyway - I was eating my burger - when a (obviously) Scottish -very-young guy with RED hair and wearing kilt comes in to the counter
he had 2 or 3 young Korean girls surrounding him... just gazing at him as if he was the most precious thing on the planet...
I was tempted to go over and ask him why on earth would he wear a kilt in Korea... but I just ignored it...
anyway - he was surrounded by young-Korean-girls...
maybe you should wear a kilt ? |

As a red-head, from a country with enough red-heads, who often gets attention for being a red-head, I find this otherwise-reassuring statement to be unnerving |

They'll stare no matter what you look like. They probably won't point and laugh. That... doesn't actually happen.
If you have young students, they'll probably want to touch it and touch your arm hair.
Enjoy! |

don't be unnerved, people will not try to harm you, we are too afraid of getting close to you in case it transfers to us!! |

I have red hair and I just get the usual 'Ooh, there's a Westerner' level of staring.
Having said that, I'm more copper than carrot and I'm female - perhaps that makes a difference? |

They'll quite rightly force you to either die it or leave the country.
Ginger hair is unacceptable anywhere in the world. |

+1
As an irish person I do live in fear that I will have to neglect my future kids if they turn out to be ginger |
