Hi there!
I have had English windows installed on my computer but of course with a copied disc. Great. Only problem is Korean fonts can't be viewed. Any way I've tried demands the original windows CD.
Any way round?

I've done some googling around and apparently this just isn't possible. I'd recommend borrowing the CD from someone and copying all the contents to your hard drive so you can do this and have the CD for later too.
Or you can torrent the windows install cd and either burn it or mount it with Daemon Tools. |

I'm sure there is a way. I remember doing it on my old laptop before I came to Korea. The font just shows up as boxes right? It's there some where in the control panel. When you do it, it enables all Asian fonts. Can't think why it wouldn't be enabled from default. |

Thanks for the input guys but when I go to control panel and bring up the regional and language options and then click languages and then click install files for East Asian languages, I am asked to insert Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD into the CD Rom drive!
I do not have this CD, as I said.
My only hope is that it also says "Also click OK if you want the files to be copied from an alternate location such as a floppy disc (as if!) or a network server.
This gets you the browse box and therefore access to my own drives.
Is there anywhere I can download these files? |
