What are the various words of wisdom regarding pluralising acronyms?
I've done a few google grammar searches and there seems to be a bit of conflict- generally however most "experts" seem to agree that a simple lower case 's' tagged to the end of the acronym is the best method. Such as: .... I don't like using ATMs because i don't trust electronic banking. Or somehting like that...
I have a problem with a computer science paper I'm editing however... talking about Autonomous Systems. I had to do a double take when reading ".... this new protocol allows for enhanced communication between our restructured ASs..." |
