Here is a quick walk through of some of the new UI additions to Mac OS X. As most of you know Snow Leopard is mainly an 'under the hood' upgrade (much more 64-bit support and open-cl, etc. )

I don't watch cnet to often, but they have some good vids or tips time to time. But the 'characters' of the hosts can be uber lame.

While these features are cool, I'm looking forward to future programs taking advantage of using the GPU to work together with the CPU in non 3d applications.

I've been playing around with a test version on a new 13" MacBook Pro and it's fantastic! Runs super super fast and the tiny UI improvements are nice. The upgrade cost will only be $29 too.

Yeah Snow Leopard is really sort of an "Expansion Pack" for the Mac OS X. They're working on the next "real" version but won't be out for some time.

You'll be able to upgrade directly from Tiger (10.4.11) to Snow Leopard (10.6) so don't waste any money on upgrading to Leopard (10.5) in the meantime, just wait 'till the Snow Leopard release in Sep. And remember that Snow Leopard won't run on PowerPC Macs, only Intel ones.
