i'm looking for a short answer and couldnt find a yes or no in the korean labor law sticky. are hagwons required to pay into the national pension and health insurance plans? there also seemed to be some confusion about this in the pension refund thread.
They absolutely are definitely required to pay pension plans, however there are some recruiters and hagwons who knowingly try to get out of paying that. In the end it can look bad for you if the finances are audited for any reason, so I wouldn't risk it. The laws on government websites, written in English, are very clear on that.
