Why is every second thread in the CE about the jewish? Why are the jewish featured in every second programme on tv?
Forgive me, I am not from NA, had a quick look on wiki and they only make up about 2% of the population of america. So whats up? What's with the obsession with jews?
Coming from NZ I know almost nothing about this type of thing. Why does the media talk so much about them? why are there so many conspiracies? |

Do you mean "why are there so many conspiracies" or "why are there so many conspiracy theories"? If you mean the former, and you mean Jewish conspiracies, then the fact that(according to you) there are so many of these Judaic cabals would probably explain why people are so obsessed with them.
But if you mean the latter, well, I think it's the case that people get a bit confused, and assume that the over-representation of certain people in certain areas of government and commerce has to be the result of planned conspiracies. It would be as if Koreans were to assume that the reason so many native English speakers can make good money doing little more than holding conversations in their mother-tongue is because a bunch of Americans, Brits, Kiwis etc must be sitting around in a dark room somewhere planning it all out. Whereas the reality is that...
a) certain countries just happened to win the right wars at the right time, thus making English the lingua franca, and...
b) the Korean school system sucks at teaching English, and...
c) slackers from the British Empire and America are just taking advantage of the above facts. |

don't really understand your quote
I was really just curious why jewish people seem to be so common in the media and such a common topic on the CE forum (I don't often venture here). A couple of TV shows I have been watching have had jewish people as central characters |

Your question asked about "the obsession with Jews," and you also mentioned "conspiracies." I answered that question.
You may want to key in on T. Herzl's "loss of assimilability." Why are they always "Jews" and not "Germans," "Americans," etc.?
Further, why do nonJews tend to obsess on them so, for example, so many Jewish/Israeli threads on this forum? So many conspiracy theories re: the Zionist lobby in the United States? Read Herzl's excerpt again. |
