I have an original Xbox, modded with a 120GB HDD and roughly 30 games for it, plus thousands of old arcade, Nintendo and Sega console games. Streetfighter 2, Space Invaders, Golden Axe, Outrun, FFVI, Chronotrigger you name it.

It has two controllers.

I'm leaving Korea and given its age this is on the 'leave behind list. I could take it with me, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

My mother in law said she'd take it as it has DVD viewing software on it, but I doubt she'd be using it to its potential- and DVD players are dirt cheap nowadays.

So how much is it worth? Is it worth selling it to get her a proper DVD player? Or should I just take it with me?

You may want to keep it.

There are more updated sites out there, especially from Lifehacker, but this will get you started.

XBox Media center sputters on HD content, especially H264. Blame Celeron Processor that is in it.

I've used it mainly for viewing DVDs over the last couple of years. It's very good at that, but my TV is an older CRT so I'd have no idea how it does with HD. But I'd be suprised if it played it. Anyway I could use a netbook as a media center instead.

Noone's answered my question yet. What are these things going for?

Have you tried looking on eBay? I hear people sell lots of used things there.

I've been thinking seriously about that. However with all the stuff my wife and I have, it would cost a load of money to send it all. Not enough to justify a shipping container though.
