I am about to leave South Korea in a couple weeks. My employers not too happy about me leaving a month before my contract finishes, so I doubt I am going to get much help there.
I need to know how to collect my pension money and where to find a Pension office in the city of Daegu? Someone explain it to me very simply, step by step, and what to bring to the office. I prefer to have the money wire transferred to my U.S. bank account. |

Go to the \"Job-related Discussion Forum" and read the sticky thread at the top of the forum titled, " Pension Refund and checking your balance
".
Basically, if you work at a hakwon you probably don't have a pension account open and will have to fight for it (if you are leaving soon you can kiss it goodbye).
If you work at a PS then it is a simple matter of taking your ARC, passport, exit ticket and bank information (where you want the money sent to). The process takes about 15 minutes.
The locations of the pension offices are listed on the pension service homepage. |

note that your bank information needs to include some kind of proof that that account indeed belongs to you. a voided cheque or an official-looking email or fax or letter from your bank that includes their address, swift code, your bank account #, and your name is sufficient.
you also need your e-ticket for your flight, your passport, and alien card. |

If you have made any transfers during your time in Korea, you can also take the receipts from that. I have a dual account with my mom and there isn't any question about the authenticity of it. |
