The contract only says that overtime pay will be provided. Can anyone tell me how much do you get per hour of overtime work? And how do you go about getting more overtime? I'm trying to max out my overtime and if my school can't give me any. Than I'd be more than happy to work with SMOE and commute to a different district. |

I think in my contract it says 20,000won/hr, but I'm not sure if all contracts are the same. Having said that, I get all the money the kids pay for the afternoon classes so it's usually above that rate. There are always opportunities at other schools, you just have to learn about them. Get in touch with your district rep and let them know you're looking. Tell your co-teacher you're looking. Tell everyone you meet in SMOE that you're looking. Things will pop up. I made a decision at the beginning to this semester not to turn down any class/OT and by the beginning of May I was swamped and had to start refusing some. You really can make a killing in PS if you want to. |
