God, I know what you mean. Even on completely SFW sites it's poping up boobing up my screen. By the looks of it it's one of these resourse managment browser based games where you train troops and build facilities, all in spreadsheet form, and then launch 'attacks' on other playersthe success of which is determined by your forces and a dice roll. Not a boob in sight once you get past the advertising campaign from what I read. I signed up for a different one a couple of years back and got bored quickly.

On a simlar note, anyone know what Travian is? I've got loads of pop-ups for it both in Korean and english. It kind of looks like a settlers of catan clone.

You haven't seen it?

Here's one example..
http://btjunkie.org/

Please tell me if you don't see the Evony ad which is always a sexy chick with a huge rack.......because if you or others can't see it, then I know I have some kind of malware in my browser which constantly displays it.

Ah. I found a link about it. It's not only me!!

Isn't it ridiculous? I read an article about it recently. Its actually a simulation game similar to Civ4. The buxom babe that you always see is just a marketing ploy to get men to visit the site. I haven't played the game personally but apparently she has very little to do with it.

On another note, it says that is "free forever" but if you send someone an in game message or something it will cost you 30p. Just what I heard.

I show youtube vids during summer camp sometimes and I feel a little embarrassed when the ad pops up on a video page.

I turned off ad-block to see the ad and after reloading several times I noticed several web-based games all promoting themselves with chicks with giant racks... it isn't just this game.

It has always been the only true path for game advertising. Wink

I saw that but its pretty pointless to call out evony for that when every game is doing it.
