I will visit Daegu and am wondering a good area to go out in and to stay in.
Also, what are some good beaches down around there? |

go out down by Banwoldang. All the bars and clubs are pretty much in the same area. and stay at the Mellow Yellow. It's a pretty nice love motel close to downtown.
There are no beaches in Daegu. If you want an outdoor swimming pool, stay at the Inter-burgo Hotel. It's not close to downtown though. |

Just book into a downtown love motel for a week or so. There are so many things to do in downtown Daegu you'll never run out of options. If you do can you always scoot up to Daejeon for an equally thrilling week. |

There is a beach in Daegu, but it is not very big. Take the 401 bus in the direction of Palgongsan. I can't remember which stop it is, but it is very near the Bullo-Dong graves and after the Daegu Airport. Good luck. |

i live in daegu, and i agree with elvis... it seems the most happening place here is downtown (where everything is pretty much walking distance from everything else)... most of the foreigner bars are there, as well as clubs, restaurants, and shopping... another (smaller) area is across from Kyungpook National University's south gate (pronounced "book moon")... there are a few places around that way, but nothing in Daegu is comparable to it's downtown area... |

A lot of foreigners also go to Ariana in Suseong-gu but downtown is the best place to go by far! |

I wouldn't call that a beach. You are talking about DanSan lake which in reality is a reservoir. It's right behind Youngshin elementary, middle and high school. There is a park for walking around the lake and some paddle boats or the sort... nothing to exciting, but much less crowded than Suseong. |

I'm heading down there for the soccer tomorrow. Does anyone know any cheap but decent places to stay? No more than 50,000 won. |
