|
|
Hello,
I've read on this forum that apartments can really run the gamut from good to bad. Can anyone share their specific experiences with EPIK-provided apartments in Pusan? I'm coming in August as a single individual (so, no married couples apartment) and am wondering what to expect.
Thanks! |

| Expect a shoebox, but hope for something better. A shoe box usually comes with a washer, refrigerator, bed, desk, small table, TV, kitchen utensils, ac and utility bills (electric, phone, cable, internet, gas and building maintenance; which could add up to 200,000 won a month.) You can also visit youtube and do a search on teachers' accommodations in Korea... |

| I talked to Rowan at esl-planet a while back and he told me that one good thing about the Pusan public school apartments is that they place all of the teachers within a short distance of each other. Logistically I'm not sure if that could be accurate but, if so, that would be nice. |

Busan EPIK uses a mediocre contract and has started following it to the letter, but one good thing I can say about them is that their apartments are decent.
Everyone I know has a clean place, not too small either. |

My EPIK contract specifies single housing, but that's Gwangju. I think it's mostly EPIK policy to give you your own place though. |
