I am a voice teacher that teaches here in the Seoul area. My students consist of pop/rock, classical, opera, punk, reggae, indie, funk, and electronica singers. I am currently taking on more students.

I have a Master's of Music Degree in Vocal Arts Pedagogy and Opera Performance from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Performance from Luther College. A classically trained musician, I have studied with Nina Hinson (Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera, German Staatsoper), Shigemi Matsumoto (San Francisco Opera, Metropolitan Opera), Gary Glaze (New York City Opera), and world renowned conductor David Effron. I have also worked with renowned stage directors: Ken Cazan, David Gately, and Vincent Liotta, performing in numerous operas and musicals.

I teach strictly vocal technique, and develop each of my students technical vocal ability to their best. I am not a coach, meaning what I do is correct vocal faults, and teach how to sing in a healthy, free, natural way. Although I am personally classically trained, I have extreme success with all genres of music, as the basis of vocal production is the same, no matter what type of music you sing. All the great celebrity musicians, such as Mick Jaggar and Steven Tyler study, even today, with classical instructors, as they know the science behind vocal production in and out, and teach them how to produce their sound in a natural, healthy way.

For more information, including music samples, please check out my website at: http://www.ryangoessl.com. Feel free to email me at [email protected] or call 010-9006-8655 for more information and for rates.

References from current and past students are also available, if you would like. Smile

I will attest to Ryan's teaching. He does a lovely job and is quite talented himself. I took Classical/Opera lessons from him before planning my move back to the States (which I'm still in the transition of)! If anyone is looking for lessons I suggest calling Ryan! Very Happy
