Just an interesting story...today I and my...girl? Yes, girl. We went to the dvd bang to watch a movie, not too long, not too serious. We picked Bend it Like Beckam and then went into the room to watch it. But then who comes in the room but a three year old boy! Finds himself a nice spot right in the middle of the couch, kicks up his feet and starts watching the movie with us! He was the cutest little thing but I have no idea why he came in after us. His mom was waiting outside as we watched the beginning of the movie. He got all excited about the scoring part but then after that he seemed to get bored.
"What's your name?" said the girl. (in Korean)
"I'm five!" (equals three)
"No, what's your name?"
"I don't know..."

I asked him if he was bored and he said yes, so I asked again whether he wanted to go back to his mom. "Yeah!" and he then took off without a word, and that was the end of it.

That was a trippy little boy.

Ah yes, and the kid also sat in *exactly* the same pose as me. Right leg over left leg, hands folded and staring straight forward.

You were in a DVD bang with your girl and you had your hands folded?

Mithridates, who is the kid on your avatar? Ex-student? I am curious because he looks like a kid I used to teach (I know it's not him).

Shocked Dude, that's sick. You made love to your girl in front of a 3 year old boy while his mother waited outside? Evil or Very Mad

I think he could say more about it, but I know from an earlier post that the child is a former student he taught in Japan. Mithridates, I love your avatar, just because the child looks so happy and curious about what's going on. Smile

About your post...what a strange experience! Ya think the mother was doing her best to make sure no funny business went on between you and the person you...thought (?) was a girl? Very Happy

Ah yes, the 'scoring'...*^^*
You know what I meant!
My avatar is a girl student actually, my smartest kid ever, a kindergarten student from Kyushu Japan. She would be just finishing grade 2 by now. I'm 24 now and have barely ever felt the urge to have kids, but for some reason whenever I taught her it made me think that if my kid was somebody like her it would be quite nice. I even checked with the director of the kindergarten if she had a single mother (no, she has a happy family, but no harm in asking ^^).
On an unrelated note, the director of the kindergarten passed away last year through illness...
So that's the story of my avatar. I haven't been back to that part of Japan since I left it almost two years ago.

I was on the train today to Insadong, and there were these cute little twin boys, I would say about 3 western age, and i sat down next to them, and they just started smiling at me, and giggling, and just being gorgeous. They noticed I was chewing gum, and started saying "gum .... gum" etc, and other stuff in korean. There mother was embarrassed, and I was laughing. So I gave them some gum, after asking her if it was ok, and they were stoked. They were playing with my scarf, and one of them got his hankie out and started basically semi choking himself, sort of, with it, which was weird, but he loved it. They were so cute, and so outgoing. I loved it. It was nice to have kids play with me, instead of just staring at me mutely like i was some alien freak.
