No one really travels in September, so why is airfare to Bangkok so damned expensive? I want to leave Korea, spend one month in Thailand, and then go home to the U.S. This should not cost 1.5. Any suggestions?

My employer is supposed to buy me a ticket home. My contract ends September 5th.

I am also planning to do a service project in Thailand for one month.

I want to find the cheapest way to take care of the airfare. Whether this means buying a round trip ticket to Thailand, or flying out of Bangkok doesn't concern me that much.

Home is Columbus, Ohio. I'm flexible about the exact travel dates in the interest of saving money. I'd even fly stand-by if it saved a good amount.

340,000 is pretty reasonable but how about onwards to Surat Thani?

It looks like 400,000 is the cheapest Round Trip but I'm simply looking for a one way ticket. Any idea as to why the One Way is almost double the price!?

Any cheap suggestions on One Way tix to Thailand?! Thanks!
