In most contracts, you are supposed to pay 4.5% of your pay into the pension program which is matched by your employer. However, a lot of employers will only pay 4.5% of 70% of your pay (you also only pay 4.5% of 70% of your pay), effectively screwing you out of 30% of your pension.
does anyone know why this is? Anyone know how to get your employer to pay?
