I work like 50 hour weeks in 5 or 6 different places... It is kinda brutal but, great jobs and great people.

I came back to Korea last year and got married to my lovely wife but have kinda just been working balls out since last year. My free time is basically spent with my wife, eating eating eating and jamming on xbox.

If anyone enjoys similar hobbies such as food, beers, SUPER NERDY BOARD GAMES and XBOX

Send a shoutout! Perhaps some folks would like to meet up for some games I have some good board games like ZOMBIES!!! and some other nerdy stuff haha... Anyway!

Catch yah on the flip side!

Hehe, funny you should ask. I work with the owner of an all you can drink craft-beer pub up at Miasamgeori station. Very soon we will have guitar hero, buffalo wings, and possibly a nintendo Wii at the place.

I'll be making a board announcement soon.

Yep, Ka-Brew. At the moment, Fridays and Saturdays are getting extremely busy. Last night he had to turn away a group of Foreigners because 60 Koreans just mobbed the place. We're going to work on situations like that by putting more events throughout the week.

Directions to Ka-Brew:
Miasamgeori station, exit 3. Walk about 90meters. You'll pass a KEB, and Ka-Brew is right after that, on the ground floor of an office space called "Ecopia" in Korea. You should see the banners for their Dunkel (which the will have in stock later this month, btw).

I've been to Ka Brew the last two Fridays and it was moderately busy. How long is the 5,000 won all-you-can-drink deal going to last for? What will it change to once the promo is over? It's definitely a chill place to grab a few beers before what ever it is you do. I thought Mia Samgeori was a strange place to have the bar, but it's a decent location.

Ryan

P.S. Where do you live Phyphon?

miasamgeori makes sense to me. the stretch of the 4 line between hyehwa and sanggye is jam-packed with efl teachers, and miasamgeori also has some big shopping destinations for northeast seoul. throw in suyu being al nightlife spot for younger koreans and korea university around the corner, and you wonder why someone didn't earmark the area earlier. i know victoria nightclub was always busy there. kudos to th owner, and perhaps j-dog too, for picking a non-traditional spot to open an appealing business.

The base price will be raised to 10,000 won after the September promo. Ka-brew, I predict, will be pretty big soon. You are right that it's on a good strip of subway, but it's going to be a little tough to get people up to Miaseomgori...hence what I'm doing for the owner.

We're hammering out a schedule of events right now, and I'm working on Buffalo wing recipes Smile

this post caught my attention pretty quickly, and even elicited a reply (i'm a terrible lurker). these are pretty much my hobbies, that and hiking/ rock climbing/ snowboarding, whatever the weather brings in the mountains. i'll be leaving for Korea tomorrow, going to be working in Suwon. if anyone knows where i can indulge in any of these and any others who might want to hang out please get in touch! i'm a yorkshire girl, slightly nervous now although i've been planning this move for ages it's only just sunk in that i'm actually going, with less than 24 hours to go!!
