Ok guys getting a bit panicked , I had a few smokes of weed at a party in the first week of June. I start my job in Korea in a few weeks . I have to do a drugs test when I get there. Am I screwed ? will it be a piss or hair sample test ? I am getting really panicked about it as I am flying out in a coule of weeks and don't want to ruin this opportunity over a moment of stupidness. I don't usually smoke it was just a moment of madness.
Also what happens of you are deported out of a country? are you basically never allowed to work in a foreign country again?
thanks for advice. |

Dude are you joking? Weed stays in your system for one month at the maximum. Everyone knows that.
Usually it's out of your system in a week or two. If you're worried than just drink lots of water and take a supplement.
It's 4:20 at this guys house. He's smoking that chronic. |

Well, you are better off staying in your own country because Korea already has enough drug abusing, rapist, low lives who couldn't amount to squat in their own countries! (I am just messing with you by the way. I figured I would be preemptive and say it before someone else does)
All joking aside, even if you were a daily smoker up until that point in June, you would be totally and completely fine and have nothing to worry about. If you are really paranoid just go buy yourself some testing strips at a drug store. Some head shops sell them as well. They might not even perform the THC test as it was supposedly removed from the requirements but you never know as each hospital is different. One thing I can say with 100 percent certainty is that you will not be given a hair test.
Relax and enjoy your marijuana-less sojourn in the land of morning vomit piles. |

It'll be clean. I've seen people pass drug tests one or two weeks after smoking. There is a lot of misinformation out there about drugs, lots of biased info, be skeptical of anything you read. Just drink plenty of water and take vitamins if you're worried.
Also, i've heard that they are letting foreigners stay in Korea even if they test positive. Because it's too much of a hassle and loss of profit to keep on deporting people and replacing them. |

You will be fine, trust me. Even with heavy, daily smokers, 30 days is pretty much the maximum amount of time it will take to leave your system, usually less depending on your metabolism, body fat, whether or not you exercise, etc. If you only did it that one time in June, it probably would have been out of your system within a week tops.
To put your mind at ease I would highly recommend purchasing a home test kit. The one for THC only is about $10US. I am 100 percent sure it will come out negative, but just to erase any doubts in your mind I would do it anyways. $10 is pretty cheap for piece of mind.
Best of luck. |

I don't smoke weed but I think the drug test consists of you being given a stick to piss on, you go into the washroom and it has some colors on it I think if the urine contains some unwanted agents, some of the colors change and the alarm is set off, so to speak.
I've always wondered how they'd really know if I didn't just walk into the john and poured some water on it. One would think a clever marker on the stick would alert a color change to prevent something like that, but then you can always sneak in a little of someone else's urine (gross though it may be) and pour a little of that over the stick.
my point is that at least in the hospital where I took and have taken further exams it seems ridiculously easy to cheat if one wanted to. |

Its a urine test, you will be clear from it after a couple weeks..
dont worry... they will not take a hair sample unless you are suspected of doing drugs in the country and are being investigated... |

You've heard wrongly. And any hassle and loss of profit is at the foreigner's expense, not theirs. Plus nowadays they've got more foreigners than ever before coming over. |

the last I heard they are no longer testing for cannibus. It's my understanding far too many teachers were failing (especially Canadians).
Ask around, check it out. |

If you have any doubt, go down to your local drugstore. They have weed test, crack (cocaine? I always mix them up), alcohol tests, and a variety of other things. I have no clue how much, but I assume they can't be that expensive. Why don't you run down and see how you test? |

Ummmm..... Ok, this is assuming that they are doing pee tests that clears out of your system pretty quick PLUS you can buy those detox kits. Do you really want someone who can't pass a weed test teaching your kids? Now, if it is hair tests, that's a different story. I don't partake myself, but I have plenty of friends who enjoy some every once in a while and they've never failed a pee test. Damn, I hope too many people don't fail that HIV test........ |
