Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knew where to buy whole grain pasta/bread within Korea? I haven't been to Korea in a few years and can't recall seeing it (and since I am on a health food kick now, I'd like to be able to buy it).

If you can't think of anyplace offhand, would you know of a decent store that has reasonable international shipping rates?

I'll be in Pohang, so I imagine I'll need to have it shipped in?

The Homeplus near where I live has whole grain spaghetti, imported from the Uk. I had some for dinner tonight, it was delicious!

The Hannam and HaDeun foreign food marts have whole wheat pasta. Both are located in Seoul and it's pricy for whole wheat pasta (about 4,000/box). I think the one in Itaewon also has whole wheat pasta but I don't know for sure. At any rate, it will be a trek from PoHang.

I've bought Bob's Red Mill whole wheat flour from Gmarket and make bread in my breadmaker. If you really must have whole wheat bread, I suggest you make your own. Overall, whole grain bread is hard to find in Korea except for some specialty stores and Costco. Even then Costco kinda sucks for whole grain bread.

Do the local paris baguettes/tous le jours have anything reasonably healthy? I eat a lot of bread, but I'm sure the "toast bread" isn't the best option.
