I know there are a million threads on this already but...

to cut a long story short, yesterday I went to a dentist in Apgujeong. One that has been marketing itself toward the foreigner market. Obviously I can't name names.

It's a very nice looking clinic with staff that can speak English. The dentist trained in the states. Anyway the dentist told me that I had 15 cavities and that I needed a crown for one of my teeth. I also wanted my teeth whitened. When I called them the previous day they quoted me a price of 600,000 for whitening. Yesterday they said it would be 800,000. They quoted me a total price of nearly 4 million.

Obviously I wanted a second opinion. Today I went to the Boston dental clinic in Ichon. The dentist was really friendly and trained at Boston. He said I had 5 cavities and didn't need a crown. Bleaching will cost 500,000. Total price for the work will be 1.5m.

Boston dental clinic is at Ichon station. Exit 4. Walk straight for 5 mins. When you get to the intersection it's across the road in a big building. 3rd floor. The number is 02 7967 2745

[Yesterday]

My teeth are now **sparkling** - so all my friends seem to think...

I paid 400,000 won for teeth whitening - at an EXCELLENT dentist - the clinic is at MongChontoseong Station (pink link 8 )

For that fee - it covered 1.5hours X 2 sessions of having my teeth professionally whitened...

That was 4 months ago - and my teeth are still sparkling

Open times (9am ~6pm) and Saturdays 9am~1pm

Clinics name is "Seoul Herb Dental Clinic"

Its best to phone them and make an appointment

(02) 425-2875 The girl who answers the phone will ask you to wait (when you speak English) and she will fetch the dentist who speaks perfect English..

This dentist was kind, friendly, and very professional.




****P.S. - The dentist is having a 50% SUMMER Special on the teeth whitening - so I guess teeth whitening is now 200,000won***** at this dentist.....
