They are independent of each other. You can do both.

NIIED actually is the authority overseeing EPIK (after it was badly botched a few years ago and control was given to NIIED).
They have now assumed control of SMOE (via EPIK) for the same reason.
GEPIK is still independent (as are several of the other ones: CEPIK, JEPIK, etc).

What are CEPIK and JEPIK? I'm guessing JEPIK is maybe Jeju? |

I always thought EPIK was the houndmaster and the rest of the agencies were just doing what they could under the umbrella.
When I was selected for positions (offered a contract) I had to send the application to EPIK as well to smooth out the hire that JEPIK or BMOE had done.
In other words: The other agencies are just cutting out the middle man, but still fall under the major goverment program.
Still I wouldnt worry too much, just make sure you tell everyone right away what you decide when you get offered a contract. If one agency thinks they have a live one in the pan and routs the paperwork up at the same time as the other it can really snafu things. |
