I asked my recruiter today how I would be getting from the airport to the Hyundai Center, and this was her reply:
"Hello
Thank you for updated
The entrance day changed, at 9:00am to 6:00pm 22th August
The orientation place : Sungkyunkwan university Suwon campus
When you arrived Incheon airport, we and SMOE staff pick you up and go to the
orientation place with another SMOE teachers by Bus"
Has anyone heard anything about this? I'm definitely sure that my NOA letter said Hyundai center on the 23rd. |

I did receive information from my recruiter at the end of July that said the location wasn't finalized yet. But I didn't hear anything yet about the date change. If it is very expensive to change your ticket, I wouldn't do it. The fees can be high. Last year, lots of people missed the first day of the EPIK orientation. If someone arrives the morning of the 23rd, it shouldn't be hard to get to Suwon and you still won't miss anything. |

As you have already informed, please book your flight ticket to arrive in Korea on 23rd August (Sunday in Korean time)
S.M.O.E will provide shuttle bus only from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on 23rd August so please make sure that you will book your flight to arrive during that time.
After you arrive at Incheon airport then you must tell your name to check in at S.M.O.E booth before you get on shuttle bus.
You must provide your full flight itinerary to your recruiter in order to make sure that S.M.O.E will schedule for your shuttle bus.
And please be aware that if you book earlier than 23rd, you are not able to have accommodation in advance.
This is not an urgent thing to do, but if you have already submitted your documents and already getting your visa, I guess this should be the right next step to follow up.
About Orientation, we havent got any further information yet.
Only it starts from August 24th for a week and the place will be in Suwon campus of Sungkyunkwan University. |

I'm actually arriving on the evening of the 23rd, but I know of several people who are also on my fight... so I guess I'm going to stick with it and be there then. I think it would cost me less money to miss a day of orientation than to change my ticket! |
