I don't know, but report back to us on your Korean experience in about 4-5 months, ok?

I have a little sidebet with a friend.

Officially there is no homosexuality in Korea (which means the houses you speak of may be far and few inbetween) , that's something that the dirty foreigners bring in, but my bet is that Korea is the gay man's second paradise right behind Saudi Arabia.

also, let us know how your gaydar does.

There is a website called Utopia-Asia (google it) and it gives detailed explanations on locations and facilities.

The main one is one in Itaewon in the back lane behind Burger King, another along the back alley in Jongno3samga.

Most M4M in Korea BB and so it is def advisable to play safe.

As well as taking drugs,
molesting children, and
stealing their women. You can now add another crime to the list!
Stealing their Men!

I know a bunch of gay guys here and they seem to have a great time, signing on for second contracts and such. Just try and get a place in Itaewon and it'll be fab.

Ha ha, like a Korean guy coming up to you and the Korean guy you're trying to hit on and even though they don't know each other, he's like

'He's not interested in you ok?'

Can't see it happening really, but I'd be interested in hearing about any funny stories from the gay scene in Korea and any Korean cultural specific things that are interesting / annoying / amusing etc...

not burger king.. that was moved.. its now stonecold ice cream. its the street next to hookerhill..
its called GAY HILL.. many gay clubs there, and there are hundreds of korean gay boys hanging out on the street there... a lot of nice cafes and bars up there.. you will have no problems cruising up there..

a new gay bar in town is called PULSE.. its next to UNCLUB.. seems very popular. I have never been there, but there are always tons of gay guys hanging outside waiting to get in on weekends when I walk past..

Homo Hill. One of my favorite places in Korea. And for those above questioning, I'm pretty sure there's not any blocking of any kind going on there. Pretty much everyone is there to mix, blend and have a great time. AND for all the there-are-no-attractive-Western-women-in-Korea moaners out there, every time I'm in Soho, I see Western girls who could EASILY pass for models, in Korea or back in the States. No idea if they're gay or what, but just so you know. At least you know in the gay bar, the competition surrounding you won't be too fierce...

Itaweon is merely a place where gays in Korea can hang out, see and be seen and all that stuff in a public manner.

but I'd place another wager on what goes on behind the closed doors of noreabangs, etc outside of Itaewon as well.

Best of all, you can do a lot of touchy/feely stuff including stroking another guy's inner thigh publicly because in Korea this is considered normal heterosexal behavior.

Cool

Funny how if someone started a thread titled "I am straight", and asked "where can I pick up girls?", horrendous flaming would surely ensue.
