I bought an xbox 360 downloaded my gamertag and was not able to update any games. I get error code 80bsomething something when I try to update anything, so i can go on live but NO GAMES AND NO UPDATES its like a virtual lap dance! I can see my friends playing but I CANT SAW PEOPLE IN HALF!! Help! I heard it might be my ISP (KT) and I tried putting in my computer's MAC adress. Since I don't speak Korean and I doubt my co workers would be able or willing to help me to explain to KT my problem, I was wondering if anyone else had this issue? Its a Korean xbox and all Korean games so I don't know what the problem is.

I don't want to sound like a dick but it's going to be hard when I say, did you even look around before you posted? The thread right above yours, when I was looking, as this one http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=162311 which, incidentally, I started. Your error code is 80072746 and I've been on the phone for hours and hours to Microsoft with no help. If you google a little bit, you'll find it's not a Korean problem, though; people in America are having it, too. It's an XBL problem, they've begun to realize it, but still don't really have an answer other than: buy a ps3.

Is the error is linked to the isp or the console? not sure why i'm asking as don't have a 360. Hmm.. I guess I'm considering buying one. Great! Smile

From what I can tell it's linked to neither the isp or box; it's a problem with XBL itself. The previous owner of my box got online just fine with a different account, and I've read stories of people having 2 accounts on their box, one that can access and one that can't. However, there's nothing wrong with that one account: they're paid up, haven't been restricted, etc.
