I have applied to reach to teach for working in Korea. The process has been going well and they placed me in the Avalon schools in Korea. I had an interview with the people there about a week and a half ago but I have not heard back from either reach to teach or Avalon regarding the interview. Is it typical to have to wait this long to find out about the results of a job interview? |

I just waited 6 days to be sent a text message of all things, saying I didn't get hired...blessing in disguise. The boss was actually stupid enough to try and make me believe teachers did not want internet in their apartments. Yeah right, and she wouldn't let me talk to any current teachers. They were all leaving. Usually, it only takes a day or two for me to hear when I've been hired. Over a week doesn't sound great. But don't worry. I've heard Avalon sucks. |

How rude!
So you had to PAY to learn that you were not accepted.
You're right...it WAS a blessing in disguise. |

Reach to Teach is ok.
I had to wait two weeks for my interview with them when I applied to EPIK but they seemed to be on top of things after that.
Have you tried emailing them? They usually get back to you pretty fast if you have a question.
It could just be that the hagwon is taking their time. |
