|
|
Today my wife and I got our visas. Mine's an E2 and the wife has an F3 spouse visa. The kicker is that the wife's visa is only single entry while mine is multiple. We had specifically asked for both to be multiple entry.
The only explanation the consul at the embassy could give me was this: "When a married couple applies for visas, only one of them may have a multiple entry visa." Is that just a lame excuse to cover up their obvious mistake or is it the truth? I imagine the former.
We don't have time to try to change it now. Any suggestions on how to change it once we are in-country?
Thanks. |

I'm not sure how to change it, but if you can't, it's not a big deal. Whenever you leave the country, just get a re-entry stamp. You can even get them at the airport. |

It makes no difference while you are in the country, and although its annoying that your wife was only given a single entry, its easy enough to fix when you leave for a vacation. Just go to the immigration office, and fill in a re-entry permit, and you can get either single or multiple . |

Thanks for the tips. We will try the multiple re-entry stamp/permit route when necessary. |

30,000 won at the immigration office will get the multiple entry stamp.
Not a big deal really |
