I would pay to go to one of those town hall meetings for the entertainment. Perhaps they should charge something and use that to help fund health care.

Barney Frank treated that woman exactly as she deserved to be treated.

Freedom of speech is good. Protesting injustice is good. Demanding answers and holding government accountable is very good. This woman -- and many like her -- are co-opting these noble processes ultimately in service to the Insurance Industry, which no doubt considers them to be nothing more than useful idiots. She's a foot soldier of the enemy, arguing a case she doesn't understand using wildly emotive means.

This was not a case of a constitutent with honest questions or concerns addressing her congressman.

Well put. People ask stupid questions like the ones this woman asked because they are programmed to think they can totally butt against common sense and get away with it. And because they think freedom of speech means the right to be deliberately stupid. To deliberately TRY to be stupid, as stupid as possible. Barney Frank deserves credit for giving people like her a serious reality check. I hope we see TONS more of it.
