OK, FIRST, make sure your contract says employee when referring to you and not independant contractor. OK, is that done? If it says employee (which it should) then they are legally required to provide you this NHIC. Make sure it is in the contract. I totally rehauled the contract they sent me to make sure it stated everything I wanted, then I sent it back. They changed two things that I agreed to, I changed one more thing, sent it back. They agreed, everyone was happy. Unless you are working with smoe or epic (which does have nhic) in their contracts, then contracts are negotiable. If they don't put it in there, move on to a more honest school. |
