A word of warning to anyone dealing with these companies- DON'T
Korea Times Campus (which has also gone by the name Times Square) is one of those shady companies which you can only read about here on this website. In four months of working for this company, I have seen three foreign teachers fired with no notice. Korean staff have resigned in droves with more than four directors in charge since I've been there.
Contracts have been willfully ignored and the Labor Standards Act means nothing to them. The "curriculum" is nonexistent. The CEO is intractable and refuses to take any suggestions that could better the program. Over half of the students received refunds in the first semester and much more of them simply stopped coming (or forgot about the refund deadline).
In all, teachers wasted a combined total of three weeks on visa runs. Teachers would be sent abroad without proper paper work completed in Korea.
FTUnion is the recruiting company that Korea Times Campus uses to find fresh blood. Stephanie claims none of these problems to have occurred and denies even taking part in their program last semester.
Stay away from this company. The pay certainly looks attractive (2.8m last semester, 2.5m now) but you can't expect to be paid in full or on time.
There are seven other teachers who can back up this story. |
