So everyone who has been following the 'vaccination' thread, will know all about this.
I'm sure you all know that small pox and other diseases have been eradicated thanks to vaccinations. I'm setting myself up for some nasty comments, but I'd like to gauge the feeling out there.
Hmm, is anti-venom made in the same way? They get venom from snakes and inject it into horses (or whatever), then the horses get immune to the venom (or they are already immune to it) and then you use the horses' blood to use as anti-venom....right? When you get a flu vaccine, you are getting a watered down dose of the virus, just like the horses did...right?
So I say that if it weren't for vaccinations (or at least the research that went into them), we wouldn't have anti-venom either.
(Just in case you don't know what a vaccination is or does, http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/howvpd.htm.) |
